I don't want to seem negative about your brave attempts to identify the characteristics and economic activities of immigrants in Greece, but some of this is just not correct. You give no sources, so it is not possible to understand where this info comes from.

One clear point of error: there were 43,000 immigrants from Asia recorded in the 1991 Census, mostly with residence permits. I don't know where this date of 1994 for the arrival of Pakistanis comes from, but it is not correct. The only clear thing we know is that the 1997 legalisation had 11,000 Pakistanis in it, as did the 2001 Census. THe number of Asian migrants is increasing, but is still very small as a proportion of population. I am inclined to suggest that the Greek perception of them as a "problem" is mostly because of their religion, and not because of known criminal activities or sheer numbers.

In terms of professions, who knows? The older generation, with work permits, are mostly in heavy factory work. There is no published research on the Pakistani community, so your info must rely on hearsay and newspaper garbage.
